Assoc. Prof Dr Senad Kalkan
Born in 1979 in Istanbul, Dr Senad Kalkan completed his medical school education at Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine in 2003. Between 2005-2010, he completed his urology specialisation at Istanbul Haydarpaşa Numune Training and Research Hospital and was awarded the title of Urulogy Specialist. Afterwards, he completed his compulsory service in Ermenek State Hospital between 2010-2012.
He worked at Bezmialem Foundation University Faculty of Medicine between 2013-2023. During this period, he gained the title of Specialist Doctor at Bezmialem University, Assistant Professor in 2017 and Associate Professor in 2021. 2021 successfully passed the exam and was awarded the title of Fellow of European Board of Urology.
Between November 2017 and July 2019, he had the opportunity to work with the world-renowned Prof Dr Jerry Blaivas on neurourology, female urology and urodynamics at The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, New York/US.
He has 23 articles published in international journals and more than 500 citations to these articles.
In 2024, he is still working at the Pelvic Urology Centre in Besiktas Fulya, where he is a founding member.
