Symptoms of Cystitis:

4. Bloody Urine:In some cases, cystitis can cause bloody urine due to irritation of the urinary tract.
5. Pain and Discomfort:Pain or discomfort may be felt in the lower abdomen or pelvis area.
Causes of Cystitis:
1. Bacterial Infections: Infections usually caused by Escherichia coli (E. coli) bacteria are the most common causes of cystitis.
2. Chemical Irritations:The use of chemicals that irritate the lining of the bladder (for example, perfumes or soaps) can cause cystitis.
3. Sexual Activity: The transfer of bacteria to the bladder during sexual intercourse can cause cystitis.
4. Other Factors: Conditions that weaken the immune system, medications that can cause bladder irritation, or certain conditions (such as interstitial cystitis) may increase the risk of cystitis.
Treatment of Cystitis:
1. Antibiotics:They are prescribed for bacterial infections.
2. Pain Relievers: They can be used to relieve pain when urinating.
3. Increasing Fluid Intake:Drinking plenty of water can help clear and heal urinary tract infections.
4. Treatments to Reduce Bladder Irritation:For example, they can be used to treat urinary tract infections and reduce bladder irritation.
Prevention:
– Drinking plenty of water and not delaying the need to urinate.
– Follow the rules of sexual hygiene.
– If the need to urinate frequently is felt, go to the toilet immediately.
Cystitis is a condition that can cause unpleasant symptoms but is usually treatable. However, it can lead to serious complications if left untreated or if it becomes recurrent. Therefore, when signs of cystitis are noticed, it is important to consult a healthcare professional and receive appropriate treatment. Specialists will assess the patient’s condition and determine the appropriate treatment plan.
